- Which drive? Anyway, the CDU-541 has a street price of ~$416, so buy a new one.

- Ask at any serious/quality high-fi repair shop about non-Sony shops
- getting parts at fair prices, or maybe you saw the piece on tv a week ago
- about what some Japanese companies do more than others...
