  15. I am not sure why you think compression is disabled with fbackup. The 
  16. application itself excercises no control over compression.

  18. I will guess you're suspecting no-compression due to reduced performance levels 
  19.  
  20. Try putting the following in your fbackup configuration file:

  22. blocksperrecord   256
  23. checkpointfreq    512
  24.  
  25. These are "realistic" values (the man page specifies '32's which are likely 
  26. to hit performance).
