- I am not sure why you think compression is disabled with fbackup. The
- application itself excercises no control over compression.

- I will guess you're suspecting no-compression due to reduced performance levels

- Try putting the following in your fbackup configuration file:

- blocksperrecord 256
- checkpointfreq 512

- These are "realistic" values (the man page specifies '32's which are likely
- to hit performance).
