  14. HP has a window system they call HP-VUE, which I have been told is
  15. compatible with X-Windows. Usually I'm able to run programs on the
  16. HP with display set to another X-terminal (Sun, Dec, ...) without
  17. problems, but when I try to run UIM/X (a Motif GUI-builder) it takes
  18. about 15 minutes before a window appears!!!

  20. Somebody told me that it is a known problem but couldn't remember
  21. what caused it except that something in the X-server and X-terminal
  22. must time out before the window appears...
