  21. There is a known bug in SVR4 lockd as supplied by USL.  It can take as
  22. long as 20 seconds to get a lock from an SVR4 lockd.  I posted some
  23. test code awhile back that was written internally by Jeff Minnig
  24. (jeff@dsndata) that displays this bug quite nicely.  Let me know if
  25. you would like a copy.

  27. We tried very hard to get Dell to fix this problem, but Dell was
  28. unable to get USL to consider fixing this before Release 4.3
  29. (scheduled for release over 1 year from now).
