- There is a known bug in SVR4 lockd as supplied by USL. It can take as
- long as 20 seconds to get a lock from an SVR4 lockd. I posted some
- test code awhile back that was written internally by Jeff Minnig
- (jeff@dsndata) that displays this bug quite nicely. Let me know if
- you would like a copy.

- We tried very hard to get Dell to fix this problem, but Dell was
- unable to get USL to consider fixing this before Release 4.3
- (scheduled for release over 1 year from now).
