  12. Has any end-user ordered and/or received an DEC 3000 AXP OSF/1 system so far?

  14. Delivery times for the "Early Ship Program" system is 75 days now. 
  15. I've heard from other end-users who have received VMS AXP systems in 
  16. a matter of days. I know OSF/1 AXP is not released officially until
  17. March, but I thought the point of having the ESP program was to get 
  18. a system with beta software quickly!

  20. DEC also provides attractive upgrade prices ($99 per specmark minus
  21. "your applicable discount if any") for DECstation 5000 to 3000 AXPs. 
  22. This is called the "Alpha ready" upgrade, and is valid for both new
  23. VAX/MIPS purchases, as well as some existing systems. However
  24. lead time for these are 180 days! Has anyone ordered/received one of
  25. these yet? Do the upgrades come with the internal 400MB disk? How
  26. much memory should we return with the 5000?
