- My good(?) old C-128 D is on strike ...
-
- Turning it on, (almost) nothing happens.
- The screen remains black and the disk-drive doesn't seek for the CPM-disk,
- (it just initializes). Entering a command causes no effect.
-
- Thus, altogether I can't help but this looks like there could be something wrong
- ...
-
- But seriously ... in my mind, a defective IC could be the reason. But - and
- that's my question - which IC ?
-
- Obviously (?) it must be a chip with widespread function (the CPU, the ROM,
- the MMU or something like that) - a defective VIC or SID couldn't make a C128
- tumble (could it ?) - well, at least that's what I think ...
-
- ... but ... tell me what you think about it!
-
- If you have an idea what could be the cause for all this - please, let me know ...
-
-
- Best wishes,
-
- Marc Palms (busily waiting).
