- You're right, it is an Atari Virus.
- Boot with CLEAN disks and using a disk utility, check the header
- on the disk. (track 00, sector 00, side 0)
- If it isn't 00, then it has a jump instruction (60 I think).
- This means the disk runs something before going to the AUTO folder
- (or whatever).
- CAUTION: some commercial disks have this jump intruction.
- DON'T mess with it if you don't know what you're doing.

- If it has data, change the jump instruction to 00 00.
- This will stop the disk from running the virus.
- You can now safely remove your data and format the little bugger.
- Make sure you check your disks for it - it may have spread.
- Best thing is to use a virus killer as this will recognise a virus
- from a commercial disk.
