  30. I'm pretty sure I'm not running TOS 1.0; the machine is a MEGA STE, with
  31. 4 meg of RAM, and a 50 meg hard drive partitioned into C: and D:, and
  32. is only a year old.  I'll verify it when I'm back near the machine.

  34. In the meantime, this is what I did.
  35.  
  36. Un-ZOO'd DISK1.ZOO to a floppy, and used it as the install disk.  On
  37. that disk was a program called SETUP, and a program called INSTALL.  I
  38. ran SETUP, using D: as the root, and A: as the install drive.  I saved
  39. the configuration.  SETUP renamed my ACC's and my \AUTO\*.PRG's, and
  40. then moved MINT.PRG to the AUTO folder, and moved MINIX.XFS, and
  41. MINT.CNF, and three other CNX'x to the MINT folder.  SETUP then
  42. requested me to RESET (Reboot?).

  44. Rebooted the computer.  MINT runs.  MINIX runs.  When MINIX runs, and I
  45. get the MINIX initial message, the floppy drive light comes on.  When
  46. the system finishes booting, the floppy disk is no longer readable.  In
  47. fact, accessing the floppy drive hangs the system.  This is where I
  48. believe that the floppy has been turned into a MINIX partition.  If I
  49. write-protect the floppy, it remains readable, but the light still comes
  50. on when MINIX runs.  It doesn't appear that anything has been done to
  51. D:.  I believe it is still a TOS partition.
