- I down loaded the file, but when I try to open it from Paintworks Gold,
- I get the error 004A. The file was on my hard drive. I then moved it
- to a floppy, and the error changed to 004B. These errors both refer to
- version levels? The HD is formatted under 6.0, and I am booting PW Gold
- from it's own launcher program. Maybe my PW copy is hosed? Does anyone
- know how to configure PW Gold to run under 6.0 on the HD? Did it
- reqire an upgrade that I never got? I will have to dig out the original
- PW Gold disk and make a new backup and try that one.
-
- Sorry for all the questions, but sometimes I wish that the programmers
- would have made the applications more easy to use, as on the Macintosh.
- I really love the move and use philosophy of Mac OS and see some of that
- showing up for the IIGS now that GSOS came out, please keep it up.
- It seems that most of the IIGS stuff, especially the early software
- will only run from the original floppy disk. We have had our IIGS since
- 1986 and I reckon it gets used at least 5 days a week. I certainly have
- gotten my money's worth from it and wouldn't give it up for anything.
-
- Thanks....Randy.
