-
- Especially if you end up with a German version of the Welcome Disc.
- It took 2.5 months to get a sepo (American) version, only to realize
- that the horrible accent is intolerable.
-
- > Then my good lady wanted to random play an audio CD. Wheres the instructions?

-
- I didn't find it that difficult to actually get the random play happening without
- the Welcome disc. I agree on the fact that it should come with some printed
- documentation as well as the CD for an indepth explanation, BUT the CD should
- have a more international accent, rather than the annoying nasal sepo accents.
-
- Another thing that I am annoyed about is the fact that if you play musical CD's
- using the built in interface, and do not turn on your TV or monitor, you have no
- feedback whatsoever. If I want to know what track number is being played without
- having my monitor on, I have to boot from a floppy.
-
- I saved the biggest problem for last. This one really drives me through the roof.
- I find the CDTV way too noisy. The built in fan makes so much noise, it makes
- the CDTV unusable for playing classical CD's with quite passages. In fact, the
- fan in the CDTV is just as noisy as the fan in my A2500. Even when I play my
- Cold Chisel CD's I find the noise of the fan annoying.
-
- Has anyone managed to shut the fan up somehow? Is it safe to open up the unit
- and disconnect it?
-
- Peter.
