- When I change screen modes in Prefs the new screen mode does not
- take effect until I reboot the system. What I get is some low
- resolution (non-interlaced) mode with a large horizontal virtual
- screen. It is the same resolution screen no matter which
- video mode I select. The scroll is not smooth either, the scrolled
- edges display/disappear in huge blocks.
-
- This same phenomena appears if I am already in a video mode and
- use/save a new palette or modify overscan.
-
- I have tried a 1950 and a VGA only multisync monitor. I don't have
- these kinds of problems with my 1080. Although I have only
- used the low-resolution modes on it. Any suggestions?
-
- I called CommodoreExpress, but they could not duplicate anything like
- this on a 4000. They won't be getting any 1200's for themselves until
- next week. And the guy said that even if there was something
- defective with my machine I could not get a replacement for a while.
