- Hmm? Where do you come up with that? I have low level formatted IDE hard
- drives many times on PC/AT's. There isn't anything magical about IDE :)
- I've used adaptec MFM-IDE boards on older HD's so there isn't anything
- "special" about the media (I.E. hard sectoring). As a matter of fact the
- only time you wouldn't need to low level format a drive, would be if it
- were hard sectored.
