- I happen to have two Amigas. (How lucky can one get.) I've upgraded one to
- 2.1, but the other is still at 1.3. Commodore has two upgrade packages
- available: 1.3 -> 2.1 and 2.0 -> 2.1. The difference is that the one includes
- a 2.0 ROM, and the other doesn't. I know that 2.0 ROMs can be purchased
- separately. I'm going to buy the ROM separately, and I'd be willing to
- also buy the disks, but they don't come separately. The package including
- the manuals is expensive and I don't need another copy of the manuals.
-
- My legal question is: Can I just get the second 2.0 ROM and use the software
- on both machines without buying another copy of the disks? What is Commodore's
- official position?
-
- I need an official answer from Commodore. If any of the readers at Commodore
- would be willing to answer directly (officially), I'd be grateful. If you
- can't answer officially, please forward this message to someone who can.
- If you would prefer that I contact them directly, please give me the e-mail
- and/or paper address of someone to contact. If you need to contact me directly
- for a postal address, use the address in the signature.
-
- Thanks in advance,
- -=:[ VAL ]:=-
-
- P.S.: This topic is meant directly for Commodore, but it is pertinent enough
- that it could/should be discussed. Anybody have any comments? (Just
- doing it without worrying about the legalities is not an option.)
