- Hi folks,
-
- when I visited a friend of mine, I was shown the rather strange behaviour
- of his A2000 dealing with overscan. When adjusting the text or graphics
- overscan using the overscan preferences program, the screen bearing the
- numerous handles to move or size the view is flickering in a horrible
- fashion, presenting a "ghosted" picture of the imagery. If you then size the
- handles to gain maximum overscan, after confirmation by depressing the
- return key and choosing either "save" or "use", the entire display "breaks
- down", flickering and jittering awfully. This also happens if you try
- to open a hires-interlace screen with full overscan from within DPaint IV.
- I wonder why this Amiga behaves in such a silly way, I never heard of
- such symptoms before.
-
- The equipment: A2000B, Rev. 6.2 PAL, KS 2.04,
- A2630 4MB, GVP Series II,
- Commodore Genlock and VLab digitizer.
- 1084S Monitor.
- additional 2 MB of 16Bit ram .
- It is supposed the problem is _not_ due to vlab or C= genlock, since
- the machine behaved in the above mentioned way before these things
- were added to the machine.
- Since I am using a rather similar equipment, at least running 2.04 too, I
- suppose this is a hardware (timing?) problem.
-
- Any chance to fix this bug?
-
- Best regards,
- Michael
