  13. Don't know if this is the right group, so I hope someone can help.

  15. A friend has an amiga 2000, 80meg hard drive, 2 - 3.5 floppies,
  16. 1 - 5.25 floppy, bridge card, and a Commodore Genlock. It's connected
  17. to a Star NP-10 printer. He just had Workbench 2.0 installed.

  19. Two problems:

  21. 1. He just got Final Copy II for Xmas (and had to upgrade to 2.0
  22.    Workbench). When he tries to print documents, it won't print text
  23.    or pictures. If he chooses the postscript print option, the
  24.    postscript text prints fine on the printer. Printing from 
  25.    Notepad, or Paint works fine. We went through the printer setup
  26.    panel when I was there, and tried a number of different 
  27.    combinations, all to no avail. Interestingly, the resolution
  28.    selector, which goes from 1-7 always shows 300/300 DPI although
  29.    the manual seems to indicate they should change. Anyone who can
  30.    help?

  32. 2. Because the Genlock is installed, he cannot boot the amiga unless he
  33.    plugs in a video source and turns the video source on. (This was 
  34.    also true when he had the Workbench 1.3 ROM installed.) This is a
  35.    major headache. Any one know a solution (short of removing the Genlock)?
