  28.    Yup!  Its the classic problem GVP has accessing some HDs.  "Apparently" 
  29.  the drive dosn't spin up fast enough to be recognised by the controller. 
  30.  BULLSH*T!!!  Buy a Trumpcard from IVS.  It works just fine with my drives 
  31.  where the GVP would puke.  If a drive taking 32 seconds to spin-up
  32.  is to slow for a controller, to hell with the controller!!!  In all reality most
  33.  drives are "ready" a few seconds after powerup and the controller on the drive
  34.  can talk to the controller in the Amiga.  If the Amiga is "told" that the 
  35.  drive isn't spun up yet it should wait OR come back to it after it checks for
  36.  the existance of other devices on the bus.

  38.    In short your system is working as well as it is going to with your GVP
  39.  controller.

  41.    All this comes from my VERY BAD experience with GVP and my HD.  They were
  42.  pretty speachless after I told them the hard drive worked fine with a TrumpCard!!
