  13. I have recently received an A4000.  When I first received it I could cold or
  14. warm boot normally.

  16. After I replaced the ST3144A IDE Hard Drive with a ST3283A IDE Hard Drive the
  17. 4000 refuses to warm boot [Ctrl-Amiga-Amiga].  From cold boot it functions just
  18. fine and is about 50% faster than the 3144A. It won't even allow me to warm
  19. boot to a bootable floppy in DF0:

  21. With the 3144A (original drive), a C-A-A would cause an audible slowdown of the
  22. HD as it killed the system and then re-booted. This new drive 3283A does not
  23. seem to change pitch when re-booted. The system does go away and leaves me with
  24. a black screen.

  26. Any suggestions or thoughts?
  27. Please don't tell me not to hang the machine so as to avoid a re-boot.
