- hello amiga community! I do not wish to abandon the superior machine,
- so I must make it emulate. I need to be able to emulate atleast the equiv of
- a 386/16 on my dream amiga, and share a harddrive. I am a programmer so
- I think if I went any slower I'd knaw my arm off...
-
- there are three approaches I see.. a fast amiga with software emulation
- (like pc task) (correct me if I'm wrong)
-
- a stock amiga with a megga-expensive "AT in a slot thang"
-
- or an empty, time-slicing clone which will become a computer upon the
- purchase of many cards and outdated upon recipt.(dig dig)
-
- so now it's up to you to decide my fate, let me know YOUR successes &
- failures and your prices and deals. I am willing to buy entire systems
- or just what I need (I have an A1000 with a 2000 slot and could expand)
-
- GOOD points to keep in mind:
- 1. I must be able to access disks and harddisk in regular IBM format
- (none of this "download to special amiga format")
-
- 2. A nice display is only nice, when the rubber hits the road, I would
- rather "deal" with interlace than pay thru the nose for it.
-
-
- well thats about it, if you have any info (norton si comparisons etc)
- please send it with your deals.. or heck advice would be nice.
-
- thanx.. tlschwie@vela.acs.oakland.edu
