  19. Check all of your registers as that is usually the problem.  Excelsior! 
  20. should be set to 9600 and select the "LOCKED" gadget.  The serial device will 
  21. now be open at that speed and locked, regardless of the modem.   I know on my 
  22. HST I must have &B1 (Fixed DTE rate) for it to work properly.
