  13. A couple of Questions for anybody who's put
  14. a 720 K floppy on their 3B1/7300/unixpc:

  16. I'm attempting to attach a 720K floppy drive
  17. to one of the 3B1's I've got here.  This has been
  18. done before, and documented in comp.sys.3b1.
  19.  
  20. Now, I'm wondering, what kind of cable do I buy?
  21. The cable I've got goes from two rows of pins to
  22. an edge connector, but the connector on my 720K
  23. floppy drive is also two rows of pins, like the
  24. connector on the motherboard.

  26. I'm assuming that it's a pretty standard part,
  27. but I don't know if there are any special cable
  28. twists needed, or what.

  30. Meanwhile, there didn't seem to be anything in
  31. the literature sheet I got from Panasonic about
  32. how to make the floppy drive operate only in 720K mode,
  33. is there anything special I should do, and if so,
  34. what am I looking for on the options sheet?

  36. Are there particular options I'm trying to set besides that?
  37. If anybody is REALLY knowledgable, this is a Panasonic JU-257,
  38. has an "AT&T" label on it too.  The option sheet lists options for
  39.     Display LED light up
  40.     DISK CHANGE signal reset
  41.     I/F connector pin2 option
  42.     I/F connector pin34 option
  43. although it's not quite clear from the sheet exactly
  44. how one would go about changing these -- no jumper positions
  45. cooresponding to most of the names are shown.
  46. ( it shows DC, R61, R66, R67, R68, R69, R70, R76, R77, R110, and RY.
  47.   DC and RY are particular jumper positions shown previously,
  48.   what are the rest? )
