- Have you tried "dir * tmpfile", followed by "!more <tmpfile"? I don't
- know if NCSA's FTP permits the two-option DIR, but at least a few others
- (PC/IP-family and FTP SW) support it.

- If it's a very Unix-ish client, you might even be able to do "dir * |more".

- If you really, really, want to print the directory, try Ctrl-P or "dir * prn".
