- Sure; turn locking off...

- Your server does not support LockD Version 3 which has the extensions
- necessary to do PC based record level locking. Your going to have the
- same problem and workaroudn with all the PC based NFS clients.

- At the same time I would suggest pushing hard on your SVR3 vendor to
- upgrade their lockd to the late 80's much less the 90's :-)
