  14. A short blurb on p. 2 of the 26 October issue of "Network World"
  15. gives a (U.S.) contact number for the Asynchronous Protocol
  16. Specification Alliance of 310 472 1055.  The article says little more
  17. than to basically repeat the description you gave, that it's a forum
  18. for "developing a standard means for X.400 communications over dial-up
  19. lines".

  21. Although we (AT&T EasyLink Services) are also a member of the Alliance,
  22. I personally am not closely enough involved to try to represent their
  23. objectives or current status.  Maybe one of those involved in convening
  24. the Alliance could say more . . .
