  13. I am a bit confused about the relationship between the CM stencil
  14. library and the (newer?) slicewise compiler option.  The CM stencil
  15. library uses a slicewise representation, but is it compatible with
  16. the slicewise compiler?

  18. If not, then I suppose that a finite difference code that makes
  19. extensive use of stencils will probably run quite a bit faster under
  20. Paris (with stencils) than under the slicewise compiler.  Is this
  21. a reasonable conclusion?
