  25. On the serious side there are implementations of XMODEM for VAX/VMS. Check with
  26. your local DECUS users group and/or it is most likely available via
  27. ANONYMOUS FTP at one or more sites.

  29. In my personal opinion KERMIT is better than XMODEM. 
  30. Also ZMODEM better than KERMIT and so on....

  32. You may have very old version of both.
  33. Really depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
  34. Do not care to debate PROS/CONS of file transfer protocols.

  36. All are available somewhere for VMS.
  37. You did not tell us what you specific requirements are??? 
  38. Therefore do not know for sure which one(s) would help you.

  40. KERMIT is available via ANONYMOUS FTP from WATSUN.CC.COLUMBIA.EDU. You will
  41. have to look around to find the VMS version and its installation/implementation
  42. specifics.
