  10. Dearest kind souls! Free at last! I've been away from the network too long!

  12. I have a problem with using a DECServer 550 CXY08 (8 port modem control)
  13. as a direct asynch computer<-->computer link.  The damn port attempts
  14. to login to my system even though the port access is set REMOTE. Here
  15. is the DECServer setup:

  51. Now I will admit the program reading and writing to this port exits and
  52. reenters an image frequently so the port isn't necessarily connected at
  53. all times, but that shouldn't matter (right?) because of the way the access
  54. is set. I'm convinced its a VMS, LAT, or DECServer bug. Version of VMS is 5.5-1
  55. and the DECServer 550 is using C2.1 LAT5.1 ROM V2.0.1.
