- Not to disagree with you (because I don't fully disagree in this
- case) but anytime one risks such a large amount of financial resources,
- one should try to get everything in writing. If it were a little thing,
- like under $1000, then I wouldn't push for anything in writing, but
- $100,000? That's our company's gross income for over a month! I'd have
- to get everything in writing before I comitted that much to a project.
- But no doubt still, IBM was scummy about the entire situation.
- Just to take a parting shot at Microsoft, the difference between IBM
- adn Microsoft is that when IBM is scummy, it's usually because of
- incompetence. When MS is scummy, it's usually to be cutthroat.
