- OS/2 2.0 like any other OS, is prone to having text messages
- edited. :)
-
- The most offending text to me is the help for Lockup. It's bad
- enough that you can't lockup up on boot, but telling "someone"
- to reboot the computer if they don't know the password. Come
- on ... (Luckily, password on boot is provided in OS/2 2.1.)
-
- Anyways, I used "pmseek" to find the file that contained the
- "offending" text. I then used "beav-2", to replace text in
- the file. (The file with the lockup text is
- "\os2\dll\pmwpmri.dll" by the way.)
-
- Beav-2 can be found at "ftp-os2.nmsu.edu".
-
- Make sure you back up the file you edit.
-
- Also, if the file you're using is in use by the system, copy
- it, edit the copy, reboot from disk and replace the file with
- its copy.
