- There is no welcome folder at all. Installing SVGA driver is another thing
- than installing the SP. When the SP is applied, standard VGA driver (new)
- is automatically installed to replaced the old one, but you have to use
- Selective Install in the System Setup folder of the OS/2 system folder.
- Follow the instruction on screen, insert GA version diskettes because OS/2
- needs SVGA/XGA display fonts to be copied from them, and finally the
- Selective Install will ask you to insert the two Display Driver diskettes
- coming with the SP, etc.
-
- After trying the SVGA driver and if you want to return to VGA or to change to
- another resolution, you don't need to run Slective Install again. Instead,
- open an OS/2 window session (get an OS/2 command prompt), type DSPINSTL to
- run the Display/Install program, which will only install display driver without
- asking GA diskettes for display font files.
