- I'm running a Gateway 2000 486dx50 w/8mb ram and the ATI Ultra Pro
- Graphics Local Bus video card. I can't get the damn thing to be
- useable. The system boots but the graphics are swacked. When I
- move the mouse, lots of "static" for lack of a better word, appears.
- If I close a window, portions of it remain, making the desktop useless.
-
- I've tried the bit of using the ATI Install program to set the board
- to Custom, 60mhz 1024x768 and storing to eeprom. Not luck. Loaded
- (dspinstl) the 8514/a drivers and SVGA- same gig. It's even
- duplicatable on my co-workers machine (same configuration).
-
- Gateway sez "Call ATI". ATI sez "It should work with stock 2.0 service pak
- drivers". IBM is the only one who is looking into it. Anybody else with
- same problems and a solution?
