- First, thanks to Tim for answering my first two questions about SCSI cards.
-
- For procurement-related reasons, I'm getting the Compudyne with the Allways
- IN-2000 SCSI adapter. Always says that this adapter is compatible with OS
- /2 2.0, without needing additional drivers. Does this mean that the Always
- card gets recognized as a different brand (IBM, maybe?), or that I'm stuck
- with the INT13 generic SCSI driver? (The Always telephone support did not
- have the answer to this question)
-
- I assume that Always IN-2000 has been tested with OS/2 2.0, since it is
- mentioned in the "READ.ME" for the the October beta. However, the mention
- does not explain the level of support for CD-ROM, MMPM, etc. available with
- this adapter. I have a SCSI CD-ROM in use with OS/2 2.0 and a FD-850, which
- I need to share with the new system. If anyone can tell me anything about
- this adapter in time to influence the order, I'd sure appreciate it.
- (Since Allways told our purchaser that the IN-2000 works, I'd need a
- concrete story to justify a change to a different adapter)
-
- Thanks in advance,
-
