- A couple quick questions for anyone with answers out there.
-
- 1. I just installed OS/2 on my Gateway 2000 486/33V and it worked nicely.
- I set the screen, Crystalscan 1572FS, to 1240x768 resolution and once
- again I had no problem. Then when I did the service pack update to the
- system it locked up going into PM. Is there something that I need to do
- when I do the service pack to stop this from happening? Since I got OS/2
- in May, I know I need the service pack, so please help.
- Extra info: The machine is a 486DX, 33 MHz, with a Vesa board. The OS/2
- drivers for the VESA board were installed by me following
- the instructions for loading into OS/2
-
- 2. I also tried to load Lotus 123 v 3.1 into OS/2 and I keep getting the
- message that I need DOS 3.0 or higher and not the DOS that comes with OS/2.
- Is there any way to tell a DOS session to use a different DOS version?
-
- 3. Will the OS/2 bootable disk available through Hobbes allow me to get to my
- HPFS partition? If not, how can I? I tried booting from the first couple
- os OS/2 install disks, but that did not help.
-
-
- Any help with the above questions is appreciated!!
