  17. Hm. I *did* think about porting something like tar for this CMS floppy
  18. tape, but i realized i wouldn't be able to. The reason is, that i
  19. absolutely have no idea, how to program the floppy controller to
  20. read/write/format tapes. I tried to get it from tape.exe (the DOS
  21. version), but they built-in a scheduler that fooled my debugger
  22. (td386).

  24. If someone can tell me about this, i'd give it a try, but DMA under
  25. virtual memory and direct hardware programming *is* difficult.
