-
- If you want SVGA for full-screen Windows sessions, all you need to do
- is to edit ?:\OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\SYSTEM.INI and change the line that
- starts display.drv=... to point to the standard Windows 3.0 hi-res
- driver that came with your video card.
-
- If you want to have seamless WINOS2 sessions. you must get a
- special seamless WINOS2 driver that supports your card, and an OS/2
- driver that supports seamless Windows. If you have a Trident, ATI
- Wonder, Paradise, Video7 or IBM256c card, you can use the Trident
- drivers in file tri32new.zip on ftp-os2.nmsu.edu, in directory
- pub/os2/2.0/drivers. It appears to work for all of them (because they
- are really IBM OS/2 2.1 beta drivers that "leaked out"). You must be
- running the Service Pack on top of the 2.0 GA release. You could also
- just get the OS/2 2.1 beta.
-
- You may have to do some tweaking. I found for my 1 Meg ATI Wonder XL
- that I did NOT want to install the BVHSVGA.DLL and the full-screen
- Windows driver, or use the SVGADATA.PMI that SVGA.EXE generated. I
- did install IBMDEV32.DLL and IBMVGA32.DLL files and the seamless Windows
- drivers.
