  19. I think that three of the proposed newgroups will cover bugs:
  20.    .ver1x -> bugs and discussion of OS/2 1.x
  21.    .setup -> bugs, and driver & hardware questions for OS/2 2.x (but this
  22.              group cannot be RFDed until March)
  23.    .beta  -> bugs and suggestions for current and future OS/2 betas
  24.  
  25. In addition, the proposed .announce (moderated) will include IBM
  26. workarounds for bugs, among other things.

  31. To remind everyone, these are the proposed (but not yet RFDed) OS/2
  32. newsgroups:
  33.   comp.os.os2.ver1x
  34.   comp.os.os2.beta
  35.   comp.os.os2.announce (moderated)    [we still need a moderator]
  36.  
  37. And these proposed newsgroups can be RFDed in March:
  38.   comp.os.os2.setup
  39.   comp.os.os2.programmer.porting
  40.   comp.os.os2.programmer.misc [this is a rename of comp.os.os2.programmer]

  42. Can anyone think of more OS/2 newsgroups that we may need but is not
  43. covered by these proposed newsgroups, or the current ones?  Post any
  44. more suggestions.

  46. BTW, thanks to all who have posted suggestions on new OS/2 newsgroups
  47. so far, even if your suggestion(s) have not made it to the "proposed"
  48. status.  Your suggestion(s) have allow the charters of the proposed
  49. newsgroups to be better defined.
