  22. It depends on what the manufacturers deal is with Microsoft.  When I bought
  23. my PC from the local clone shop they had package deals available with and
  24. without.  There was also the option of buying it with the system without
  25. DOS and Windows.  NOTE:  The systems with DOS and without DOS were different.
  26. The owner said that if he would have signed a deal with MS that included
  27. DOS and Windows with every system it would have been cheaper per unit, but
  28. he had a lot of customers that were upgrading that already owned DOS and/or
  29. Windows.
