- McDonalds is protecting its trademarks from dilution by preventing those who
- have the rights to use them - its franchisees - from selling products that
- would confuse the public. Any franchisee who were to do so would be linking
- McDonalds and Wendy's in the minds of the public, and that severely damages
- the value of the McD trademark suite.

- Windows. There are a LOT of folks out there who have bought that, hook, line,
