  12. I have the same problem on my EPSON LQ-570 when using the tractor
  13. feeder.  When I purchased my printer (which included no drivers), I
  14. also purchased a sheet feeder.  When Windows is told that the sheet
  15. feeder is being used, the drivers LQ-570 seem to work just fine.

  17. In addition, to the problems mentioned, I discovered that the horizontal
  18. margins are different for Windows and DOS.  I had the margins all set up,
  19. using the tractor feeder, for both DOS's print utility, and for Microsoft
  20. Word 5.5.  That all worked great.  When going into windows though, not
  21. did I get the vertical shift mentioned, but I also got a horizontal shift,
  22. about 1/4 of an inch, to the left.

  24. My final solution (at this point) is that I use the sheet feeder when in
  25. Windows, and the tractor feeder when in DOS.  In this way, the printer is
  26. lined up for both, which no constant adjustment on my part.
