- Hello. I've got an application that uses direct DPMI interfacing,
- and it seems to work fine with win 3.0, but crashes instantly under 3.1.
-
- Can anyone give me some hints as to the DPMI implementation differences
- that could cause complete failure?
-
- The assembly language instruction it's crashing on (this is according to
- turbo debugger, which I'm not sure works completely when the application is
- shifting into and out of protected mode...) is:
- arpl [bx-1a],sp [note ds=ss]
-
- I'm not even familiar with that op.. I take it that it's a new 386 or 386
- protected mode command.
-
- [btw, I'm working on getting GNU demacs to work for windows 3.1, if anyone
- out there is interested... ]
-
- Thanks! Please e-mail reply to stillson@mitre.org
-
- Talk to ya sooner,
-
