  13. Hello.  I've got an application that uses direct DPMI interfacing, 
  14. and it seems to work fine with win 3.0, but crashes instantly under 3.1.

  16. Can anyone give me some hints as to the DPMI implementation differences
  17. that could cause complete failure?

  19. The assembly language instruction it's crashing on (this is according to
  20. turbo debugger, which I'm not sure works completely when the application is
  21. shifting into and out of protected mode...) is:
  22.     arpl [bx-1a],sp            [note ds=ss]

  24. I'm not even familiar with that op..  I take it that it's a new 386 or 386
  25. protected mode command.
