Hello all,

I'm relatively new to Visual Basic, so kindly bear with me.  We've purchased
a serial communications card from Arnet (the Smartport Lite) that has eight
serial ports.  We also bought the Communication Developer's Kit that is
designed to let you develop applications for Windows.

My question:  The Comm Developers Kit comes with a .DLL file, but VB refuses
to access it ("Error loading DLL" or something like that).  According to the
tech support at Arnet, they do not support Visual Basic, but they DO support C.
As I understand it, VB should be able to use it anyway.

Their Tech Support also told me they DO have clients who have been able to
get the board to work with Visual Basic and without the SDK.  (This is exactly
what I'm hoping to do).

Any help?  Anyone?  Replies via Email are welcomed.
