- Hello all,
-
- I'm relatively new to Visual Basic, so kindly bear with me. We've purchased
- a serial communications card from Arnet (the Smartport Lite) that has eight
- serial ports. We also bought the Communication Developer's Kit that is
- designed to let you develop applications for Windows.
-
- My question: The Comm Developers Kit comes with a .DLL file, but VB refuses
- to access it ("Error loading DLL" or something like that). According to the
- tech support at Arnet, they do not support Visual Basic, but they DO support C.
- As I understand it, VB should be able to use it anyway.
-
- Their Tech Support also told me they DO have clients who have been able to
- get the board to work with Visual Basic and without the SDK. (This is exactly
- what I'm hoping to do).
-
- Any help? Anyone? Replies via Email are welcomed.
-
- Thanks,
- Mark
