- My current Msoft Win 3.1 postscript printer driver for the HP
- Laserjet IIISI seems to insist on making the first line of PS output the
- string :
-
- "Esc%-12345@PJL ENTER LANGUAGE = Postscript"
-
- The next line is %!PS-ADOBE etc. which is more reasonable.
-
- This looks like an attempt to set the printer to postcript mode - which
- it's already in anyway. When passed thru various bits of our Unix
- network, the effect is that the postcript code gets printed
- out rather than the text I actually want. If that first nasty line is
- deleted from the output, then everything prints properly.
-
- SO, does anyone know how to suppress this first line - by some form of
- switch or option setting in win.ini or from the printer set up dialog
- under control panel ? - or any means for that matter. Fiddling with the
- network isn't an option at the moment.
-
- Any advice appreciated.
