  11. I recently put Windows on a PC attached to a Novell network (3.11)
  12. that is also connected to our campus backbone.  I installed
  13. out-of-the-box (ie, had the network drivers loaded (ODI) but let it do
  14. a standard (non-custom) install).  Works fine except when I attempt to
  15. use ftp/telnet from a full-screen DOS window.  I have a Western
  16. Digital ethernet card and in the CONFIG.SYS use the 'X=' option.
  17. I figured WIndows needed to have this as well so I put an EMMExclude=
  18. statement into 'SYSTEM.INI' section [386enh].  However, now when I
  19. start Windows I get an error message saying that I don't have any
  20. devices that need 386 enhanced mode.
  21. What do you figure I'm missing?
