- I recently put Windows on a PC attached to a Novell network (3.11)
- that is also connected to our campus backbone. I installed
- out-of-the-box (ie, had the network drivers loaded (ODI) but let it do
- a standard (non-custom) install). Works fine except when I attempt to
- use ftp/telnet from a full-screen DOS window. I have a Western
- Digital ethernet card and in the CONFIG.SYS use the 'X=' option.
- I figured WIndows needed to have this as well so I put an EMMExclude=
- statement into 'SYSTEM.INI' section [386enh]. However, now when I
- start Windows I get an error message saying that I don't have any
- devices that need 386 enhanced mode.
- What do you figure I'm missing?
