- The other alternative is, as was discussed in this thread, to use
- the alt+code key combination. Only problem in this method is one
- has to know the position of the character in the font set ahead of
- time. That's where comes the Character map utility supplied by
- Microsoft. It not only tells the position of the character under
- search, but also lets one copy the character right into the
- equation editor. In addition, one can use symbols from other font
- sets such as wingdings to make up the deficiency of the equation
- editor.
