I purchased a 24X about two weeks ago.  The supplied drivers did not work properly with 256 bit color at any resolution:  When using Word For Windows 2.0b a general protection fault was created when you select tools then the last item on that menu [options or setup I think].  I left mail on DiamondStar support BBS and have not received any reply for about 2 weeks.  I returned the card.
