  19. I'm going a little out on a limb here, so please understand.  I had some
  20. similar problems when I first started playing with wallpaper bmps, and
  21. finally came to the conclusion that the bmp wallpaper format is not the
  22. same as that for Paint.  What I do, is if I see a gif that I want to 
  23. incorporate as wallpaper, is to use WinGIF 1.4 to view the file, resize it,
  24. etc, then save it in .bmp format.  Windows will then recognize it as a
  25. wallpaper bmp and tile it, center it, what have you.
