- I recall a thread recently which discussed the "Licensed User" string
- which Winword Setup stores in encrypted form on the distribution disk,
- and how to make Winword Setup prompt for a name again. Unfortunately I
- did not save this information.
-
- A friend of mine is now trying to sell his copy of Winword, and the
- potential buyer is bothered by the "wrong" name on the startup screen.
- Assurances that this would not be a problem as long as he has the
- original disks and my friend doesn't retain copies don't seem to
- satisfy him, he wants to get his name in that spot.
-
- Can anyone send me the info for resetting this string?
-
- Thanks!
