- Hi. I'm not an experienced programmer, so this questions may be a bit
- obvious for some of you.
- Here they are: What is protected mode. i just know that it's available
- for 80386+ CPUs.
- What does the nomenclature xxxx:yyyy for memory locations mean? How do
- I read it? How do I interpret it?
- And the last one: My BIOS reports 639Kb total conventional memory. It
- actually has 640K for conventional mem, 1408 extended. Where's that
- Kilobyte that BIOS can't find?
-
- Don't send email answers, please. The local mailers is not working
- properly, so some of the mails may be lost.
