  13. Hi. I'm not an experienced programmer, so this questions may be a bit
  14. obvious for some of you.
  15. Here they are: What is protected mode. i just know that it's available
  16. for 80386+ CPUs.
  17. What does the nomenclature xxxx:yyyy for memory locations mean? How do
  18. I read it? How do I interpret it?
  19. And the last one: My BIOS reports 639Kb total conventional memory. It
  20. actually has 640K for conventional mem, 1408 extended. Where's that
  21. Kilobyte that BIOS can't find?
