- What gives on this net. Everyone loves to argue. Since everyone
- has put in their two cents, I will add mine. I like Minix.
-
- That said, I would like to know where I can get 1.6.23 include file
- that is used in lib/other/fdopen.c: "../stdio/loc_incl.h". I ftp'ed
- the 1.6.23 upgrade from ftp.Uni-Koeln.de and lib/stdio is nowhere to
- be found. It's ironic that when I got 1.6.16 and was missing some
- routines everyone said, "you might as well get 1.6.23, you'll find the
- missing files there." Now that I have 1.6.23, I fully expect everyone
- to tell me to get 1.6.24b. Since I've shared that with everyone, please
- try to restrain yourselves in making that point.
-
- For the time being I made up my own loc_incl.h file based on the defines
- that were spelled out when I tried to compile lib/other/fdopen.c. I've
- bluffed my way through everything but the definition of __iotab[i].
- "loc_incl.h" doesn't seem to have a great deal in it and I would bet is
- very short, I would appreciate it if someone could mail me a copy.
-
- In any case, now that the holidays are over, I can get back to getting
- 1.6.23 to run. So far, I'm frustrated that after adding to libc.a, and
- reordering it per Andy's second patch file I got a bunch of undefined
- references when I tried to compile "life.c." Oh well, it may have just been
- a bad file to try first. "life.c" uses curses and though I have Andy's posted
- copy of curses.h, I have a funny feeling the 1.6.23 version of curses.c
- may be the source of my problem.
