  16. this MINIX thang sounds interesting and I definitely think I might order the
  17. demo disc for Atari ST.  However I am a bit unsure on a few points...

  19. - how does MINIX relate to MiNT and MultiTOS?  From what I have read here it
  20. would seem that MINIX has its own multitasking kernel.  Does it run parallel
  21. to the desktop (like MiNT), or do I say goodbye to the desktop altogether?
  22. (To say nothing of GEMINI).

  24. - a recent posting by an Amiga owner implied that the 680x0 version of MINIX
  25. only works for sufficiently small x.  This would kill off my plans to upgrade
  26. to a 68030 by means of Dave Small's SST and/or the Falcon.

  28. - am I buying into any useful amount of parallelism?  That is, given the
  29. necessary processing power, can I run foreground programs while performing
  30. a file transfer in background, etc. (just like under TOS :-))?

  32. - will there be a v2.0 for Atari (and when?... ;-/)
