- Hello minixers,
-
- I've got a big problem. I don't know, if anyone else has the same, because
- I don't use a standard version. I've got 1.5.10 ported to my self-made
- machine (68000). So the problem I've got has something to do with pipes.
- If i start Test13 of the distribution, there may be race conditions which
- will block both processes, the writing one AND the reading one. None of both
- runs anymore, both are waiting for FS. So that's not all. If I hit DEL
- or CTRL-\ both processes will be killed (and in the case of SIGQUIT, the core
- file written) and the shell just receives a lot of F's or E's until
- I press DEL again, which leads to a deadlock of the system (MM waits for FS, FS waits for TTY and TTY is idle).
- So, I'm not an expert in MINIX and I already lost a lot of my nerves searching
- the bug, but I couldn't find it yet. Has anyone out there some hints, where
- I have to search for this bug?
-
-
- Please mail me, If you believe that you could help me. You would help a
- (nerves-) poor man.
-
- Thank you
